“The real problem is not that we are different, nor that we disagree and have conflict. It's that most of us automatically view conflict as something negative rather than as a tool God can use to help us better understand ourselves and one another.

Morning News

Having just got off work after a long night, I’ll share comments on a few news items, and go nite-nite. I hope y’all have a great day.

The Ft. Worth Star Telegram (…my local paper…) had a couple of interesting articles today. So, is it charitable giving or campaign ploy? A couple of Justices of the Peace are offering to give up some of their income from related work to charity if elected. What do you think?

And, did you know that how you vote is genetically determined? That bizarre idea was deduced by researchers who studied people from the same family—even twins—who had different political viewpoints and voting records. Their summation:

If you assume that both identical and fraternal twins share an environment, then the disparity between the results must be genetic conclude.

Can you imagine: $2.6 billion has spent on this mid-term election? We could fund an entire small island nation for that! And what did we spend it on? (..call it personal opinion...but it seems mostly on a bunch of personal vanity and power grabbing...)

And, Sandra Day O’conner is concerned about
the autonomy of the courts
. She sees attacks against the courts as attacks against the weakest element of our government. I do agree that the South Dakota "Jail 4 Judges" initiative is over the line. I also think the courts long ago stepped outside the boundaries they were supposed to operate within. Bringing the courts back into balance would be a very good thing.

Saddaam was sentenced to hang…but….there was this little detail…
A death sentence or life imprisonment generates an automatic appeal, delaying any execution by months at least.
So, what do you think will happen now?

An F-16 strafed a school? That’s what the MSM would have you believe. Now, remember, “strafing” implies a deliberate act of shooting to injure or destroy. Go read of the settlement, and their report description of the incident. Then go read Mac’s breakdown, and see what the MSM left out of their report.

Finally, Orson Scott Card, an admitted Democrat, had some interesting things to say on the election…and Iraq. I bet there are a lot of liberals and Dems who are not happy with this stance…
